More snow.

More snow has fallen throughout the day and doesn’t shows signs of stopping until the morning according to the weather report. At the moment’s there’s well over 15″ and double this where it’s drifting. There’s also a lovely imprint of yours truly left over from when I got out of the car this evening and performed one of those cartoon slips that see’s your legs lifted higher than you head, waving about in midair for what seems an eternity before crashing to the floor ๐Ÿ™‚

…and somewhere under all this snow, my shovel is lying somewhere:-)

Washing line.

Hanging Basket snow cone?

One of our garden chairs.

…and table top

Snowy Sutton Lawn

With the recent snow fall and a day off work, I thought I’d take advantage of the picturesque scenery and headed out for a morning stroll around Sutton lawn & pond. I last visited here back in August after stumbling across it and never new it existed, let alone only a short walk from where we live! (see blog post )

Being Monday morning, I had the place to myself and it was so peaceful and quiet.

Here’s a few shots from this morning –

Virtually all of the pond was frozen.

Apart from this bit which was very popular!

Spotting the first of today’s Robin’s.

Stopping for a coffee…

…and a chat with this Grey Wagtail

Shopping in the frozen section? Some folk have no respect ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Fingers numb on the shutter button, time for one last shot before heading home.

Here comes the snow!

Much of the north of the UK has already started to see the beginning of this winters snow and Saturday morning, we got the first of ours. What withย  gift wrapping, card making and browsing Delia’s Christmas recipe books, it’s all starting to feel a bit Christmasy despite a few days away from December ๐Ÿ™‚

Bitterly cold, but couldn’t resist popping out into the garden to shoot off a few snaps.

I’d estimate a good 4″ so far.

A regular feast for the Fieldfare’s last year, wonder if any will return again?

Lots to go around!

Plenty to add to this years fireplace decorations.

Too wet to sit by the pond?

Jumping from print to print.
